Yamaha India unveiled the YZF-R1M and the road-legal R1 a few months after its global debut at the 2014 EICMA Motorbike Show. This litre-class racer is a track-focused R1 with modern electronic suspension and other improvements. The new R1's Deltabox chassis architecture is comparable to that of its predecessor, but it's lighter and stiffer thanks to aluminium-magnesium construction. Without Ram air induction, the new R1's 1.0-litre four-cylinder engine produces 200hp and 112.8Nm. The R1M has a communication control unit, Bridgestone tyres, and Ohlins electronic racing suspension. LED lights, cast magnesium wheels. Traction, slide, launch, wheel-lift, and ABS are included in the electronics package.
