Yamaha India's oldest and cheapest bike is the Crux. Built-to-last, the bike is designed for rural multi-use rather than everyday commuting. A few years ago, the Japanese manufacturer gave it a mid-life facelift with new decals & multi-reflector headlights and indicators. The Crux's mono cylinder 106cc air-cooled engine generates 7.5bhp at 7,500rpm and 7.5Nm at 6,000rpm. A four-speed gearbox shifts three up and that one down with the engine. Electric start and spoke wheels make the bike convenient. 11-litre fuel tank, 113kg Crux.
