In January 2011, Suzuki released a 125cc model of their popular commuter motorbike, the SlingShot, called the SlingShot Plus. The bike takes its ideas from the now-defunct Suzuki Zeus, and it sits in Suzuki's lineup between the Hayate as well as the GS150R. There are now two versions of the SlingShot on the market: SEU and SCD. An 8.5bhp and 10Nm four-stroke 124cc engine provide power for the Suzuki SlingShot Plus. The five-speed manual transmission and wet multi plate clutch are paired with the air-cooled engine. SlingShot Plus shares the Zeus' fuel tank and general design, but its headlamp assembly is unique. Except for the petrol tank, the motorcycle's frame, exhaust, and alloys are completely black, giving it a sleek, distinctive look.
