A single-cylinder, 4-stroke, Twinspark engine gives the Thunderbird 350 19.8 bhp of power at 5,250rpm and 28Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This air-cooled motor is paired with a 5-speed transmission. It was updated recently so that you can get ABS for a very small amount more than the standard model. Royal Enfield has been selling the Thunderbird in India since 2000, it wasn't until 2009 that the entire bike was updated with the 346 cc unit construction engine (UCE), which is now used in all 350cc models.
