The 200cc engine in both bikes is based on the 149.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine in the Xtreme Sport, which makes 15.6bhp and 13.50Nm. But these will soon be changed to meet the BS6 emission standards, which go into effect on April 1, 2020. On the other hand, the Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ S V3, which compete with the Hero Xtreme Sport, have been doing well, selling around 1,400 and 9,000 units each in December 2019.
Hero Xtreme Sports set to be launched in India
The new Hero Xtreme Sports will have a 149.2 cc engine with a carburetor. It should have 15 BHP of power, which is pretty good for a bike in this class.
