The Super Splendor has all the good things about the old Splendor, but its heart is bigger.
Aside from the changes to its looks, the 2018 Super Splendor has a new engine. Hero has kept the Splendor's look but changed the side panels and tail light in a subtle way. The blacked-out engine, exhaust, rear shocks, and alloy wheels look good with the new graphics. The instrument cluster is still an old-fashioned unit, which is a shame. It comes with a self-starter and has a speedometer, fuel gauge, neutral indicator, and a side-stand indicator.
The new Glamour has a single-cylinder engine with a carburetor that is 125cc. This is the bike's main selling point. It has 11.4PS at 7500rpm and 11Nm at 6000rpm, which is 2.4PS more than the current motor. Hero's i3S start-stop technology is expected to make the new motor more fuel efficient.
The single downtube frame hasn't changed, but the suspension has been made stiffer. The bike is easy to ride and easy to turn at slow speeds in the city. Both the front and back have 130mm drum brakes that stop the car. Even as an extra, you can't get a front disc brake.
