The Platina series was based on the Bajaj Wind 125 and has a CT100 engine. It was released in April 2006 and has been very popular since then. At a price of Rs 36,000, which was very appealing, Bajaj sold 500,000 units in the first eight months. The 125cc version came out in September 2008, and more than 30,000 units were sold every month. And the new Platina 125 should pick up where this one left off.
The bike's natural air-cooled 124.6ccc engine can give you 8.5ps of power. It has a gearbox with 5 speeds (all down). Its 100cc version has a longer wheelbase and a wider rear tyre. The bike has a reserve capacity that is 0.5 litres bigger, but it doesn't matter much because the fuel tank capacity is still 13 litres. But Platina 1265 is 3 kg lighter than its previous model. Bright headlights, a "Ride Control" switch, and a "Maintenance-Free" 12V 5Ah battery will give you peace of mind. The ride control switch helps the rider ride in the "Fuel Economy zone," which is also shown on the fuel gauge metre. Besides that, there is also a low fuel light. We didn't doubt that it could go as fast as 95kmph, but we did look into how well it worked and were pretty happy with its mileage. It got about 65kmpl in the city, where driving is very fast.
